• We are a non-profit, social club run by member volunteers.   
• Our club provides women an opportunity to meet and socialize with other women.  We have many members who are expats from all over the world and other Canadians who have recently moved to Truro
•  Our Newcomers Club is an organization that facilities different kind of social activities and interests

Information about our Newcomers Club

Newcomers is a great way to meet people.  On a monthly basis, you can pick and choose to do the things that interest you.  You are welcome to attend 2 activities as a guest, prior to joining.  Yearly dues are $20.

On a monthly basis:

• General Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, September through May, at Sobeys Community Room, 68 Robie Street, Fundy Trail Mall at 7:00 pm.  We usually have a guest speaker at each meeting.
• We get together for coffee at Smitty's Family Restaurant, 64 Robie St.  This is an informal drop in coffee time; we meet between 10:30 and noon on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.
• Next Book Club on Tuesday January 27th, 2015 at 10:30 am
• Once a month we go out to lunch at a different Truro restaurant
• We play Mah-jongg (a Chinese tile game) one afternoon a week
• Monthly we try to plan to do something as a group.
• Bi weekly we get together to play Euchre (a card game).

September Newcomers Club Meeting

Our September Newcomers Club monthly meeting will be held in the Community Room of the Sobeys on Robie Street.

The business meeting starts at 7, with the social meeting starting at 7:30 pm.

Coffee and Tea will be served and we are looking forward to meeting 'new' new members! :-)

Truro and Area Newcomers Club

Are you a newcomer to Truro, NS?  Are you looking to meet new people, find things to do, and discover Truro's unique charm?

The Truro and Area Newcomers Club welcomes women who are new to our area or have lived here for less than three years. Members meet monthly and enjoy a topic which is related to the season or to getting to know Truro.

In addition to monthly socials, members get together for various fun activities which are of interest to them. e.g. Morning Coffee, Euchre, Mah-jongg, Book Club and more. Other events also include spouses and/or significant others.

We are a fun and friendly bunch and would be happy to have you join us!
